     Johann Friesen

Some records indicate he was born abt 1759. In the 1808 census, he is listed at Schoenau #5, and is said to have come from Reinland, Prussia. In the 1835 census entry for Rosenort #19, it states he came to the Molotschna in 1803, moved to Rosenort in 1818, and died in 1830. Johan was elected as Minister of the Grosse Flemish Gemeinde in 1805.
