Fehr married Agatha Sawatzky, daughter of Peter Sawatzky and Aganetha Dyck, on 18 December 1908 at Winkler, Manitoba. Isaak H. Fehr died on 18 September 1976 at Winnipeg, Manitoba, at age 88. He was buried at Carrot River, Saskatchewan.

          The Isaac Fehrs

     Isaac and Agatha Fehr were married in Winkler, Man. in 1908.
     Soon after the wedding, they moved to Saskatchewan and farmed south east of Swift Current in the McMahon district.
     To this union eleven children were born, six boys and five girls.
     By 1929, after experiencing a couple of years with no crop, Dad and the oldest two sons, Isaac and Pete, went to Nipawin to apply for land in the Carrot River area. In 1930, Isaac and Pete took the car back to Moose Range where they found employment.
     The beginning of April 1931, Dad and the next two sons, Jake and Henry, traveled in the stock car as far as Nipawin, from there the stock was all moved to Moose Range. Jake and Henry stayed to look after the stock and do chores while Dad took the car back to McMahon to get the rest of the family.
     Mother and the younger members then stayed at Moose Range and took over the chores while Dad and the boys went to build our temporary shelter on the Carrot River homestead. It was built very quickly with logs. It had a log roof with thick moss sods and a dirt floor.
     Since it was all heavy bush land, they had to clear an area before they could build. Now living in the log shelter on the homestead, Dad and the boys started clearing a new area for a larger house 20' by 20'. This house was also built of logs with a rough lumber floor, a slab roof and moss to seal it. The walls were plastered inside and out with a clay, sand and straw plaster. In August we moved in there. Then Dad went to Moose Range to work for some farmers, for which he got straw and some grain to bring home for the stock. Then after harvest was over, an addition, 20' by 20' was built on to the house we were living in.
     Dad had to go several miles to get a better quality clay and he made a brick size form so the clay mixing and brick making process began. After enough bricks were made and dried, Dad made a chimney.
     Soon after settling, they ran out of supplies, so decided to go to town and see if they could get some flour, etc. on credit. However, being strangers, credit was out. They picked up the mail and started home, wondering what to do now. As mother looked the mail over, she found a letter with un unexpected cheque (a refund for not overloading the box car). They immediately turned around and went back to town for groceries. Mother said "If that wasn't a Godsend -- nothing ever was".
     In those days there were no screens for the windows. Mother was making chicken noodle soup one day and as she rolled out the dough, she would spread a clean cloth over the window sill, over which she would hang out the dough to dry. As she turned to roll out some more, along came the cow, and with one swipe of the tongue, she picked up the dough and away she went, mother after her with the rolling pin.
     The first winter, Dad and the boys worked at Spence's Mill and Dad brought home some nice planed lumber. Mother then boiled linseed oil and gave the lumber a couple of treatments. Then Dad put a new floor in our house which was so much easier to keep clean. From year to year improvements were made, the inside walls were white washed, then calcimine painted and later fancy wallpaper.
     Many hardships were experienced. There were many people that had much farther to go to town, so they would stop in to rest their horses overnight. Food and lodging was never refused or charged for.
     Mother and Dad's house was sort of central and since there was no church, it was decided to have weekly Sunday morning service here.
     The four eldest members of the family finished their schooling at McMahon, south east of Swift Current, the remaining seven children received their schooling at Blue Jay. When the school opened in 1932, five of the children walked to school one and one half miles through a bush trail. To cross the creek, they had to walk a fallen tree as a bridge. Quite and effort for small school children.
     Roads were soon made and improved year by year.
     By now the parents were getting a regular relief cheque of $10.00 a month.
     Many a time Mother was called upon to act as a midwife. From the time we settled on the homestead until hospitalization came in effect, Mother had assisted the local doctor in delivering over one hundred babies.
     Mother and Dad were both called in cases where a neighbor or acquaintance were seriously ill, to help take care of the patient or just sit with the worried family.
     In case of a death, Dad was asked to make the coffin and mother would then upholster the coffin and dress the deceased.
     In 1935, the first loss of our family was suffered, with the death of Jake, who passed away in October.
     Then, in 1947, Dad bought the Quiring homestead and moved there that year. That fall a building bee was held and a big new bell-roof barn was built. The building bee group being their sons and sons-in-law.
     The family are as follows:
     Isaac and Margaret, Warren, Manitoba were blessed with seven children.
     Pete and Helen, Princeton, B.C. have four children.
     Sadie and Pete (Ens), Carrot River have four children.
     Jake passed away in 1933.
     Henry and Mary, Saskatoon have five children.
     Agatha and Corny (Dyck), Austin, Man. were blessed with eight children.
     Netha and John (Gerbrandt), Carrot River with seven children.
     John and Mary, Carrot River with two children.
     Beth and George (Braun), Carrot River with five children.
     Tena and John (Hildebrandt), Saskatoon with three children.
     Abe and Marianne, Carrot River have four children
     In 1953 another shock came to the family when John was killed in an accident at Fitchner's Garage.
     The last years, Abe (the youngest son) did the farming for Dad and in 1959 the farm was sold to Mr. and Mrs. John Schmidt and the folks moved to Blue Jay Store, where Beth and George Braun lived and operated the store. They built a new house on the Blue Jay lot, west of the store where they lived until the store was sold in the fall of 1971. They then moved their little house a mile west, where Abe and Marianne Fehr now live and operate Sunset Service.
     In the spring of 1975 they sold their house to a grandson, Dick and wife Betty Fehr and then moved to town.
     They lived with Beth Braun for the summer. In the fall Mother and Dad moved to Sadie Ens, their eldest daughter, and lived their last year with her.

     Isaak H. Fehr is the son of Peter Fehr and Susanna Hiebert. Isaak H. Fehr married Katharina Bergen, daughter of Heinrich Bergen and Anna Wiebe, on 23 September 1973.

     Isaak I. Fehr was born on 22 April 1883 at Rural Municipality of Rhineland, Manitoba. He was the son of Isaak Fehr and Helena Fehr. Isaak I. Fehr married Helena Unger. Isaak I. Fehr married Helena Siemens. Isaak I. Fehr died on 30 October 1958 at Hague, Saskatchewan, at age 75. He was buried at Rosthern, Saskatchewan.

     Isabrand Fehr was born on 4 January 1865. He was the son of Benjamin Fehr and Katharina Friesen. Isabrand Fehr married Katharina Dueck, daughter of Johann Dueck and Maria Fehr, on 10 July 1887.

     Isabrand Fehr was born on 29 March 1888. He was the son of Isabrand Fehr and Katharina Dueck.

     Isola Fehr is the daughter of Abraham Fehr and Anna Dyck.

     Issac Fehr was born on 24 March 1927 at Reinland, Saskatchewan. He was the son of Jacob H. Fehr and Anna Dyck. Issac Fehr died on 28 August 2004 at Biggar, Saskatchewan, at age 77.

     Itzak Emmil Raymond Fehr is the son of Gordon John Fehr and Lenora Elkin.

     Ivan Fehr is the son of Jacob Fehr and Ida Haase. Ivan Fehr married Joan _____.

     Ivan Joseph Jacob Fehr is the son of Gale Bruno Fehr and Vera Lynn Dyck. Ivan Joseph Jacob Fehr married Anita Monro on 3 October 1998.

     J. Fehr married Aganetha Thiessen, daughter of Peter Thiessen and Aganetha Fehr.

     Jack Dennis Fehr is the son of David Fehr and Margaret Unruh. Jack Dennis Fehr married Vonna Owen on 9 October 1976.

     Jacob Fehr was born on 29 March 1920 at Wymark, Saskatchewan. He was the son of Jacob H. Fehr and Anna Dyck. Jacob Fehr married Angela Mary (Maria) Tartaglia, daughter of Salvatore Tartaglia and Catherine Pregliola, on 7 November 1949 at Vancouver, British Columbia. Jacob Fehr married Elizabeth Morrison on 17 December 1988 at Langley, British Columbia. Jacob Fehr died on 17 February 2003 at Langley, British Columbia, at age 82. He was buried on 21 February 2003 at Burnaby, British Columbia.
