Giesbrecht married Helena Fehr, daughter of Cornelius de Fehr and Maria Schmitt, circa 1878. Kornelius D. Giesbrecht died on 22 July 1925 at Merced, California, at age 81. He was buried at Winton, California.
     They immigrated on 19 July 1875 arriving aboard the S.S. Canadian. to Quebec City, Quebec, and continued onto Blumenfeld, West Reserve, Manitoba, Canada.
