Reimer married Elisabeth Rempel on 26 February 1835 at Lichtfelde, Molotschna. Abraham F. Reimer died on 11 April 1892 at Blumenort, East Reserve, Manitoba, at age 84.
     Abraham F. Reimer In the 1835 census, he is listed at Petershagen #4, the home of his father. There is not mention there of a wife, so I wonder if he was married at the time of the census. He was known as "Fuela" Reimer.
"Abraham F. Reimer did not share the financial acumen of his brother Klass F. Reimer and was more interested in astronomy and other intellectual pursuits. His diaries and journals are filled with all manner of observations, calculations, facts and figures. Fortunately for the family his wife Elisabeth, nee Rempel, was a resolute pioneer woman of great determination who earned much of the family income as a seamstress. The family also received considerable financial assistance from the Gemeinde." Plett Profile Book. He immigrated on 27 August 1874 to Quebec City, Quebec, arriving aboard the S. S. Hibernian.
