     Anna von Riesen immigrated in 1841 to Gnadenfeld, Molotschna. She migrated from Kalthof, Prussia to Gnadenfeld, Molotschna, S. Russia in 1841 (B. H. Unruh, p. 383). Odessa Archive, Fond 6, Inventory 2, File 10758 states that she and her son Leonhard immigrated from Prussia and were added to the register for the village of Gnadenfeld, Molotschna Colony with the family of Herman Harder in 1849. The Jantzen Family Record says she was born in Goldschar, Prussia, but the original Heubuden church records give her place of birth as Treuenkohl. Information from Donald J. Martin says she was born 11 Oct 1776 and died 9 Dec 1840. B. H. Unruh, p. 383, states she was born in Koszelitzky, Prussia. The Newton record says she was born 23 Nov 1780 and died 13 Aug 1851.

Klaas Abraham von Riesen married Margaretha Matthies on 21 October 1815 at Molotschna Colony. Klaas Abraham von Riesen died on 12 October 1871 at Rosenort, Molotschna, at age 78.
     Klaas Abraham von Riesen One record says he died 6 Oct 1870. In the 1835 census, he is listed at Altonau #11, and is said to have come to Russia in 1804. He moved to Rosenort in 1848. The entry for Orloff #11 says he moved away from there in 1816. Raised by his sister Helena Von Riesen and her husband Klaas Reimer
Was a farmer in the village of Altonau, Molotschna, but moved to Rosenort shortly after 1834. Was elected deacon of the KG in 1824 and as a minister in 1838. Was historically inclined and recorded various events and occurrences for posterity. He was well read in the writings of the faith and his library included various works by Dutch writers such as Claus Ganlof which had a great influence on his nephew Aeltester Peter Toews after his death. His sons all received a good education.

Klaas Friesen was totally blind for the last seven years of his life. They lived in Rosenort, Molotschna, until his death in 1870. In the 1835 census, she is listed at Rosenort #19, as the wife of Johann Peter Dueck, whom she apparently married in 1830 after the death of her first husband.
