     Abraham Tjart was born on 23 October 1889 at Yschun, Crimea. He married Anna de Veer, daughter of Bernhard de Veer and Margaretha N. Dyck, in October 1927 at Schumanovka, Barnaul. Abraham Tjart died on 11 October 1977 at Comox, British Columbia, at age 87.
     He immigrated on 2 March 1930 to St. John, New Brunswick, arriving aboard the S. S. Minnedosa.

The mill started by his father was expropriated by the Russians in 1923. Abraham turned the mill over in good condition and remained with them a time as master miller. Abram and Maria went to Moscow in September 1927 and from there to Germany. On March 1930 they came to Canada. They lived 3 years in Peace River, Alberta, one year in Yarrow B.C., and then in settled in Black Creek B.C. in 1934. In 1975 they were still living in Black Creek, B.C.
